Moving Checklists
We want to make your move as successful as possible
We've crafted these checklists to answer some of the most common questions we hear from our tenants. Take some time to read through the information below; if you have any questions we haven't covered here, reach out to our property management team: 562-375-4101
Move-in Checklist
You'll need to pay your first month's rent and your security deposit in order to secure your lease with us.
We will schedule your move-in and provide all initial information about the inspection process at the lease signing.
You are responsible for placing all utility accounts in your name immediately following the lease signing.
Move-out Checklist
Planning to move out of your rental home? You'll need to provide us with written notice of your intent to vacate the premises. Refer to your lease to determine your legal move-out date.
Cleaning your rental before moving out is an essential task to ensure you leave the property in good condition.
Start by decluttering and packing your belongings, so you can easily access all areas for cleaning. Dust and vacuum all surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and baseboards. Clean the windows, blinds, and curtains, and remove any cobwebs.
Scrub the kitchen and bathroom thoroughly, including appliances, countertops, sinks, and toilets. Don't forget to clean the inside of cabinets and drawers. Sweep, mop, or vacuum the floors, paying attention to corners and edges. Finally, take care of any stains or damages, and thoroughly clean outdoor areas, such as patios or balconies.
Repairs: Be sure to take care of any necessary repairs before moving out of your rental. This involves patching nail and screw holes, replacing broken glass, and replacing burnt lightbulbs.
After you move out of your rental home, we will perform a final inspection to check for any damage. If we identify any damage that needs to be repaired, we will schedule the visits and deduct the related expenses from your deposit. The remainder will be returned to you with an itemized statement.
Please remember, you cannot use your deposit to cover your final rent payment. Failure to pay your last month's rent will result in legal action & adverse credit reporting.
